UT Health Dept. bags TAI’s ‘Silver Cup’

The Tuberculosis Association on India (TAI), New Delhi has selected the Health Department of Andaman & Nicobar Administration consecutively for the second time operating the TB Seal campaigns in the A & N Islands for ‘The Special Silver Cup’ by the Awards Committee of the TAI for highest collections from the 65th TB Seal Campaign during 2014-15 under the smaller State/ Union Territory category. Henceforth it was awarded for 63rd and 64th TB Seal Campaigns.
The TB Seal Campaign is being operated in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands under the supervision of the Dr. S.P. Burma, State TB Officer/Joint Secretary (RNTCP) for every year. The department takes every possible step to sale out all the TB Seals within stipulated period i.e. from 2nd October to 30th September every year which has resulted in receiving Award from the TAI, New Delhi. The Department may appreciate the hard work of Mr. R.S. Pandey, Senior Investigation, District Tb Centre, Port Blair dealing with TB Seal Campaign.
This is a proud moment for the public of Andaman & Nicobar Islands as well as for Health Department achieving target 100 percent  against the TB Seal Campaigns during 65th TB Seal Campaign, a release from the State TB Officer/ Joint Secretary (RNTCP), Dr SP Burma said.
