Vigilance Awareness week at Andaman Law College

The Fishery Survey of India in association with Andaman Law College organised Vigilance Awareness Week last Friday on the topic entitled “My vision: Corruption free India”. An elocution competition both in Hindi and English and also a quiz competition for the students of Andaman Law College relating to the theme were organized. While distributing prizes to the students, Mr B. Saigal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (CID) highlighted the role of The Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in prohibiting the menace of corruption. He also spoke on the performance of Anti-Corruption unit of A & N Administration.  Prof. (Dr.) M S Soundara Pandian, Principal, Andaman Law College delivered the key note address stressing the need for public participation in curbing the menace of corruption. Dr. Sijo P. Varghese, Senior Fisheries Scientist, FSI, delivered the welcome address and Mr Dharmvir Singh, Mechanical Marine Engineer, FSI, proposed the vote of thanks.
