Wandoor villagers retrieve body of croc attack victim

After failed efforts by rescue agencies, the Pradhan of Wandoor succeeded in retrieving the body of the crocodile attack victim on Tuesday. According to reports, Mr Ram Bala, Pradhan, Wandoor accompanied by villagers, Biswajit Mandal and others launched a search operation on Tuesday in a personal engine dinghy and after searching for hours found the body in high seas. The body has reportedly been handed over the Police for further action.
The victim, 21-year-old private labourer, Bishnu Hari Mondal, a native of Midnapore in West Bengal, was dragged in  high seas by a killer crocodile at Wandoor last Sunday. As widely reported in the local media, the victim was swimming inside the safety nets fitted by the Department of Environment and Forest when suddenly the beast attacked him.
