Wards set DBRAIT auditorium on fire

It was a glittering evening for students, parents, teachers and the entire management of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 (KV-2) on Tuesday when the institution celebrated its vibrant and distinctive Annual Day with gusto. Students right from the primary to the senior secondary level left the assemblage stunned with their performance while the Scout & Guides of the school ensured discipline and comfort for all at the packed to capacity auditorium of Dr BR Ambedkar’s Institute of Technology (DBRAIT). The Chairman, VMC and Commanding Officer of INHS Dhanvantari, Surg. Capt. L Vijay Kumar was the chief guest of SPANDAN 2017, the annual gala of KV-2 while Lt. Col. Ravi Shankar, nominated Chairman of VMS and Principal, KV No-1, Smti C. Raji, graced the occasion as special dignitaries.
In his address, Surg. Capt. L Vijay Kumar the students and entire  management for the school’s performance during the academic session 2016-17. “You are the future who will shape the future of the nation. Hold your teachers in high esteem,” he told motivating students and wishing them best for their careers ahead. Presenting the annual report of the school, the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar said that the institution has registered a stupendous performance in the last academic session. With 100 percent results in Class XII, eight students from this school has secured admissions in MBBS, 6 in NITs and 20 others in various disciplines of engineering. The School has also recorded a pass percentage of 98 % in the Class X CBSE exams. Around 120 students have been admitted in Class I last year as per the guidelines of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, said Mr Kumar reiterating the school’s focus on holistic education to develop children’s physical and cognitive skills.
Students from the primary to senior secondary division of KV-2 regaled the audience with performances at their school’s Annual Day function. A show by the tiny tots on a song from Bollywood blockbuster, Bhajrangi Bhaijan, a short play from epic Ramayana, Saraswati Vandana, among others held the audience spell bound throughout the function. The confidence exhibited by the school students was appreciated with huge rounds of applause by the audience during the function.
