World AIDS Day at Bambooflat

On the occasion of World AIDS Day on December 1 with the theme: ‘Increasing impact through Transparency, Accountability and Partnership’, an awareness programme was organised at the Anganwadi Centre,Tabu Basti and CHC, Bambooflat A rally of school students was conducted on 1st December, 2017 with a placard competition for students of Bambooflat Jurisdiction in which the students of MES, Stewert Gunj, Vitala Public School and GSSS Bambooflat participated. Km. Janani, Km. Frisha and Kr. D. Kiran Kumar were awarded first, second, third prizes in the placard contest respectively.
Dr. M.P.Susamma, Chief Medical Officer- in-charge spoke on the signs and symptoms of HIV/ AIDS and advised to create awareness among the general public regarding the effects of AIDS in the community and its discriminations focusing on the theme of the year ‘Increasing impact through Transparency, Accountability and Partnership’ during the programme of lighting of candles for promotion of Red Ribbon. The event was attended by All Doctors and the staffs of CHC, Bambooflat and general public with great enthusiasm.
