YHRI seeks support from A&N Bar Assn

Youth for Human Rights India, the India chapter of youth of Human Rights International, a Non Profit organisation with main objectives to educate and train youths about human rights as per United National Declaration of Human Rights wrote to the A&N Bar Association for support for the occasion of celebration of International Human Rights Day on 10th December, 2017. YHRI believes in standing up for Human Rights as the universal Declaration of Human Rights empowers us all. Human Rights are relevant to all of us, everyday. Our Shared humanity is rooted in these universal values. Equality, justice and freedom prevent violence and sustain peace. Whenever and wherever humanity’s values are abandoned, we all are at greater risk. We need to stand up for our rights and those of others. Various programmes to be organised are: 10 December - Awareness camp in Association with Association of Advocates at JNRM Auditorium at 2.30 PM. Walk for Human Rights on 11 December from Cellular Jail to Dairy Farm covering  Aberdeen Bazaar, Middle Point, Goalghar, Junglighat, Dairy Farm via Fisherman Colony.  Closing at Junlighat with a small function at Community Hall. Awareness Campaign will start from 1st December, 2017 to 30th January, 2018 across the Islands in schools and colleges. YHRI A&N Islands seeks support to conduct ‘World Human Rights Day’ as a mega event represented by youth for Human rights International, USA, supported by its Chapter under the leadership of Dr. Arzuman Zaidi, National president , YHRI, Delhi. It has also planned for ‘International Human Rights Summit’ at Delhi in March, 2018 inviting the Hon’ble President of India, marked as South Asian Summit on Human Rights consisting of more than 20 Countries. YHRI A&N Islands plans to represent the same, following with the celebration of Human Rights Day on 10th December, 2017 with the motto ‘Let’s make Human Rights a Reality’. In its letter, Youth for Human Rights India, A&N Islands seeks contribution, support and cooperation from the A&N Bar Association to make the event successful.
