ANI team for 20th National Vanvasi Archery Competition selected

Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands organised a ‘State Level Archery Competition’ last Sunday at Saraswati Shisu Vidya Mandir School, Rangat, Middle Andaman for selection of archers for 20th National Vanvasi Archery Competition to be held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from 28th to 31st December, 2017 organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.
The competition was inaugurated by chief guest Mr. Nehru Ram, GTT, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Bakultala, Middle Andaman. He appreciated the initiative taken by the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram for showcasing the hidden talent of Tribal Society.
The selectors have picked 12 archers in the state (8 boys and 4 girls) for participating in the National Vanvasi Archery Competition. Mr. Sobran Majhi, State Sports In-charge and Mr. Vijay Kumar, Coach will be proceeding with the players to Bhopal on 17th December, 2017 from Port Blair. Mr. Dharma Rao, General Secretary, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Andaman & Nicobar congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to the selected players for excelling at the National level.
