The State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited commissioned an Exchange with Broadband facility at Nimbutala Junction to extend quality and good service and to provide effective communication to customers in the region. The Exchange was inaugurated by Mr M. Vijay Kumar, General Manager, BSNL in the presence of Pradhan, Nimbutala Panchayat Smt., K. Saravana Kumari on Friday.
The purpose of commissioning New Exchange at Nimbutala junction is to provide quality Land Line & Broadband Service in this area. At present 48 landline connections and 16 Broadband connections are working in and around of Nimbutala Junction area which are present serving from Rangat Exchange. The distance between Rangat and Nimbutala Junction is 5KMs. At Present the connection in this areas not working properly due to long distance, resulting a huge complaints from Public and Govt. Offices and maximum LL & BB Customers have surrendered their connections also. With the commissioning of this exchange, it will help to provide LL & BB facility at Rangat Bay and Amkunj areas which are about 5 km away from the present Exchange.
The Primary Underground Cable working between Rangat and Nimbutala was partially damaged during PGCIL cable laying for around 2 km with multiple cuts causing humming tones in all connections. The UG cable is very much risky to repair because of the presence of underground High Tension lines on the same route. To overcome from this situation, fresh cable laying is to be done for 2kms and even after laying also, LL/BB connections could be provided in Rangat bay and Amkunj areas because of low dial tone, humming tones and long distance from Rangat Exchange (10kms). Rangat Bay area is heavily populated area with huge demand for land line and BB connections. Most of the Govt. Establishment, ALHW, STS, Electricity, Departmental Quarters and colonies are located in Rangat Bay.
