International Day for Divyang at ICDS

In celebration of  ‘International Day for Divyang’ on 27th November 2017 to 1st December 2017 a week-long programme has been organised by ICDS, Rangat. In a weeklong celebration various programmes were conducted in different  places like drawing competition for Divyang persons at South Creek Anganwadi Centre, Baratang Island, followed by dancing and fancy dress competition at Shantanu Shiv Mandir and Pudumadurai Anganwadi Centre respectively and a Bal Sabha for Divyang children at Nimbutala Jetty. In a closing ceremony on 1st December at Zilla Parishad Auditorium, Rangat, chief guest Dr. (Mrs.) Suja Antony, Chief Medical Officer, Community Health Centre, Rangat and guests Mr. C. J. Antony, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Rangat, Mr. Rangalal Halder, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Dasrathpur, Ms. K. Saravana Kumari, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Nimbutala, Mr. S. K. Singh, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Rangat and Ms. Saroni Minj, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Parnashala were present. Welcome song was presented by Ms. Piki Mondal, Anganwadi Worker.
Ms. Zarina Bibi, CDPO, Rangat briefed about the schemes implemented by Directorate of Social Welfare for Divyang persons while Dr. (Mrs.) Antony motivated them to extend their active support for removing their barriers. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Brinda, Mukhya Sevika, ICDS Project Rangat.
