Volunteers register to donate blood at Rangat

Andaman Sai Seva Samity, Rangat Unit, organized a registration camp and awareness programme on blood donation at Panchayat Samity Bhawan on Sunday. The Tehsildar, Rangat, Mr Gopa Kumar, was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr Surya Kant Singh (Ayurveda), Community Health Centre, Rangat and Mr Rangalal Halder, Pradhan, Dashtrathpur, Mr V Senthil Kumar, General Secretary of Sai Seva Samiti, Rangat unit were also present during the event . In his address, the Tehsildar lauded the social welfare initiatives of Sai Seva Samity. Dr Singh spoke about the importance of blood donation and urged general public to come forward for the noble cause. Mr Halder also spoke on the occasion.
During the campaign, organized to mark the birth anniversary of late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India, many volunteers registered for donating blood for the needy in future in the present of staff from the Health Centre. Mr Senthil Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.
