Skill Development Training starts at CAEPHT, Ranipool

A 25-day long skill development training on the job role tractor operator started at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Post Harvest Technology (CAU, Imphal) Ranipool today.
The training program is being sponsored by Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) under Skill India mission of the Government of India. The program was inaugurated by Prof P P Dabral, Dean of the college. Dr S K Satpathy, director of the training program briefed about the course content and activities to be undertaken in the training program. The training will impart specific skills in operation, repair and maintenance of tractors and power tillers.
Prof Dabral emphasised on the significance of the training and urged the trainees to utilise this opportunity for becoming a skilled tractor operator in future. He also explained the prospects of skilled manpower. Twenty trainees from N-E states participated in the training program. (EOIC)
