Debate competition in Nepali by Team SAATHI in Singtam

Team SAATHI (Sikkim against Addiction towards Healthy India) of Government Senior Secondary School, Singtam, organized on Saturday an Inter-House Nepali Debate Competition. The topic of the Debate was: “Whether the parents saving property for the bright future of their children are rather better than the parents who provide better education to them?” The Red House took on Green House in this debate. Another topic was: “Whether the extra-curricular activities are good for students or not?” The Blue House was against the Yellow House in this competition.
The chief guest was social worker Swaminath Prasad of Rangpo. Journalist Sanjay Agarwal, Sr. Journalist and General Secretary of Vidhya Bharati-Sikkim Bijay Dhital were as the jury members for the Competition. SAATHI Peer Educators led by Sumit Sharma of Class XI (Sci) depicted a small skit on impact of substance abuse for the youth. Babita Thapa of Class XI presented a song. (EOIC)
