Parental counselling programme against drugs at Rhenock Bazar

Government Junior High School Rhenock Bazar conducted a day-long parental counselling programme under SAATHI (Sikkim Against Addition Towards Healthy India) banner on Friday. Ashish Bangdal from Gangtok was the resource person of the day. In a motivational speech interspersed with lively acts on human values, he suggested ways to keep children at safe distance from drug addiction and other bad influences. Bad habits should be nipped at buds, he convinced all through interesting acts involving students. Dr Priyanka Pradhan from Community Health Centre Rhenock enlightened the gathering about different forms of addiction and their menaces in the society. Police Sub Inspector from Rhenock PS Shaun Tshering Lepcha spoke on POCSO, SADA and COTPA acts besides highlighting the importance of verification of tenants.
