Dance contest in Bagdogra concluded with six winners in two categories

Dance Bagdogra Dance contest organised by a social organisation ‘Chetnashil Sangarashrat Jamat’ concluded with great enthusiasm at Gandhi School, Bagdogra on Sunday.
There were 120 contestants in two Junion below 13 and Senior above 14 years. Pushpanjali Pradhan, Twinkle Shina, Karuna Limbu bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions and in senior category Aman Dandi, Padma Darjee and Shrada Gurung & Sangita Rai bagged 1st 2nd and 3rd positions accordingly.
The three contestants from each category were chosen 1st, 2nd and 3rd and handed over cash prize including trophies.
Balbahadur Chhetri member of the organising committee said that the contest was organised to boost the talent of the students and give them a platform in building their carrier through dance.
The chief judge of the event Bollywood choreographer Sunil Negi said, “There are several children who have talent but they need proper guidance and training to become a good dancer.”
The other judges were Mohit Sharma, Amit Das, Laxmi Darjee and Supriya Sarkar.
A social worker Laxman Sharma, Ashok Biswakarma, Radhika Biswakarma, Jisu Dutta, Rita Singh and others donated cash prize and trophies.
