Fifteen women from various fields felicitated on the occasion of International Women's Day

Fifteen women indulged in various social activities and self help group were felicitated on Thursday by Chenga Nari Sewa Samity (CNSS) a Darjeeling based NGO to mark International Women’s Day.
Women from social organisations, human rights organisation, self help group, animal lovers were welcomed with traditional garland ‘Khada’ at Chenga Busty under Mirik block. They were later felicitated with felicitation letter frame by the elderly women of the village.
Diwakari Chhetri, president of CNSS said that fifteen women from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri, Bagdogra and adjoining areas were felicitated for their contribution to the society without any personal interest.
She said that Anita Sharma from Kalimpong, Kritika Gurung from Darjeeling, Manmaya Chhetri from Bagdogra, Tashi Bhutia from Siliguri, Sukmit Lepcha, Preety Lepcha from Chota Tingling, Malati Sharma, Jyoti Biswa, Geeta Biswa, Kalpana Pradhan, Ambika Chhetri Munni Mukhia from Chenga Busty, Ganga Dutraj, Bishnu Lama from Panighata and Sharda Chhetri from Katharia busty were felicitated.
