“Misusing the power some people are hatching conspiracy to kill Bimal Gurung in an encounter, which I received the information, but I wanted to make it clear that it is not happen in democracy. BJP is the only ally of party leaded by Gurung that is why till I remain MP from this constituency I will not let him die and it is my responsibility to protect him from being killed in encounter without judicial pronouncement,” said Darjeeling MP S S Ahluwalia on Friday late evening at Siliguri. Ahluwalia who was in town after eight months to inaugurate Passpost Seva Kendra made it clear that he will not allow Gurung to die in encounter at any cost.
When asked about his absence during the crisis period in the hills he replied, “I did not came as because if was present I and my party was held responsible for the crisis and turmoil in the hills. But it does not mean that I refrain from the situation of the hills I was active in the whatsapp group and contacted the people who visited Delhi for the movement.”
Criticizing on the remark of GTA chairman Binoy Tamang to resign before visiting Darjeeling, Ahluwalia said that he was not elected only by Binoy’s party men but won by the votes of the entire hill people so he has no right to say anything against him.
“I will visit hills after the budget session to inaugurate Passport centre at Darjeeling post office. No one is going to stop me from visiting hills,” said Ahluwalia. (EOIC)
