Locket Chatterjee demands CBI enquiry over alleged minor girl’s murder

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader of the Mahila Morcha Locket Chatterjee has demanded CBI enquiry over the alleged murder of a minor girl who was found hanging in a wire at a mobile tower on 26th January.
Chatterjee on Friday met the family of the deceased at Janata Nagar, Siliguri and assured them of providing justice.
She said, “The case should be investigate properly and if necessary CBI should call for its inquiry.”
The minor girl was suddenly found missing on 25th January and after massive haunt her dead body was found hanging on a mobile tower next morning.
Family members have alleged of rape and murder and doubted house owner’s son for the act. Shyam Sundar Mahat father of deceased said that her daughter use to be with house owner’s son maximum time.
When Locket Chaterjee went to meet the family members, Mahat told her that he does not want any money but would like to see culprit arrested and punished soon.
“Our Chief Minister criticizes death of Dalits of other states but when it comes into the insecurity of girl child in her own state why doesn’t she speak a word. She talks much about Kanyashree project but how safe are our girls in Bengal she does not even think about it,” said Chatterjee.
