Mortal remains of Vaypayee to be immersed at the Mahananda

The urn containing the ashes of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee reaches Siliguri from Kolkata on Saturday evening.
BJP local leaders informed that the ashes will be immersed at River Mahananda on August 31. BJP top brass of Bengal are expected to be present on August 31 for the immersion of ashes of Vajpayee who died at New Delhi’s AIIMS on August 16. BJP Siliguri district president Abhijit Roy Choudhury informed that the urn containing ashes has been brought to Siliguri and will be immersed on August 31 at River Mahananda. The urn will be taken out in a procession to River Mahananda, Siliguri.
