With an eye to preventing the racket of brokers at the premises, North Bengal Medical College & Hospital (NBMCH) authorities would install 200 CCTV cameras shortly. The decision was adopted in a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samity (RKS) headed by chairman Dr Rudranath Bhattacharya on Wednesday.
“We are determined to eradicate brokers’ racket from the hospital campus. 200 CCTV cameras would help the hospital authority in maintaining round-the-clock vigil on the campus,” Dr Bhattacharya said.
He informed that 19 modern vehicles to be used by expecting mothers before and after delivery would be brought to Siliguri immediately. Seven of those vehicles would be kept in NBMCH and six others would be available in Siliguri district hospital, RKS chairman informed. (EOIC)
