Passport Seva Kendra inaugurated in Siliguri

Central minister and Darjeeling M P S S Ahluwalia on Saturday inaugurated Siliguri Passport Seva Kendra at Himachal Vihar under Matigara.
Tourism minister Gautam Deb however was not present during the inaugural function despite of valid invitation.
Siliguri Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya including MLA Shankar Malakar, Sarita Rai and others were present in the inauguration ceremony.
Deb’s absence had made political chaos among the opposition leaders. S S Ahluwalia said, “Despite of proper official invitation he did not came, there might be political pressure on him.”
Bhattacharya said, “There are two separate rules in this state one for the ruling party and another for the opposition parties. Opposition parties MLA are never invited since last three years in the events organized by the state government. It is unfortunate that despite of invitation from the central’s foreign ministry tourism minister remain absent.”
After the inauguration Ahluwalia distributed passport to people who applied for it earlier. 
Ahluwalia will be in Siliguri for few days and discuss the party activities, he will be holding meeting with BJP top brass here to make the strategy for the upcoming polls.
