'The Salon Academy' aims to provide world class training in beauty and hair

With the rapid growth of the cosmetic and beauty industry in India that provides more than 1 lakh jobs every year, “The Salon Academy’ based in City Center, Siliguri has emerged as the largest and prestigious academy in North Bengal to teach freshers by offering beauty courses of international level aiming to eliminate unemployment problems.
‘The Salon Academy’ established in association with international brand Schwarzkopf aims to produce masters in beauty, hair and make-up in the present scenario where beauty industry has been flourishing in India twice as much growth as that of the US and European markets.
The recently inaugurated Academy has excellent faculty who are well trained from reputed institutions in Bangalore and Mumbai.
The trainers claim that their mission is to enhance the beauty and health of the skin through the development of education, new techniques and cutting-edge products using the finest natural ingredients.
Built in 2100 sq. ft. area, the academy has spacious class rooms, training hall, practical class rooms with the excellent interior designed to meet international levels.
Priyanka Bharati a student from Mirik was thrilled and feels proud to be a student of ‘The Salon Academy’. She said, “My dream since childhood was to build my carrier in the beauty industry and earn name as well as fame but was not getting a proper institute which can fulfill my endeavour to achieve my goal. Now I am happy and satisfied by the training here.”
Owner and founder of the academy Aparna Nandi said, “Our academy aims to provide world class training with the faculty with work experience raging over 20 years who selflessly share their knowledge and expertise to transform students into an all-round salon professional.”
Nandi also informed that special concession will also provide to one underprivileged BPL category student every batch. The academy will also help students for the job placement in various reputed salon across India after completion of the course.
“We have adopted a technique of a dynamic mix of presentations, look & learn, videos, demonstrations, hands-on training on doll heads and most importantly on live models for the students so that they can be more skilled”, said Pushkar Thapa, faculty member and hair expert.
