Sikkim's organic Temi Tea will be showcased in this years' Kolkata Himalayan Orange Festival

Sikkim’s sole tea garden Temi Tea Garden that produces some best quality of tea across the globe will be participating in this year’s Himalayan Orange Tourism Festival at Kolkata from December 7 to December 9 to promote Sikkim’s organic tea along with home stays nestled along the lush green garden areas of Temi Taar.
A group of twelve members will leave for Kolkata on 6th to participate in the three day long annual event in  Kolkata where tourism stakeholders, orange growers, NGOs, cultural groups and others from Sikkim, Bengal, North East and neighbouring nations Bhutan and Nepal will participate.
The authorities of Temi Tea Garden which is participating in this kind of festival in Kolkata for the first time say  that the people of Kolkata will love to taste the organic Temi Tea produced in organic state of Sikkim.
Manikumar Tamang, Tourism Manager of Temi Tea Garden said, “We are participating in the festival for the first time to promote our organic tea and also assisting home stays owner along Temi Taar and Rampoo areas. We will showcase packets of Temi Tea and also display posters and banners of home stays in the stalls provided by the organisers.”
This year along with Temi Tea Sikkim Rural Tourism Developement Welfare Organisation will also participate to promote rural tourism destination in Sikkim.
Suresh Lama Media head of the organisation said that people will Kolkata will love to taste Sikkim’s Organic oranges including products like Kiwi, Dalley, Iscus, and packed products from Sundar Sikkim.”
He also added that 25 member team from the organisation will participate in the festival and promote Sikkim and achievements by chief minister Pawan Kumar Chamling through posters, standees. A giant screen LED will be installed in the festival area where visuals of various awards received by chief minister and Sikkim state will be displayed.   
Raj Basu convenor of Association of Conservation of Tourism the organising head said that people of Kolkata will get to taste pure organic oranges, tea including other food items in their own place.
