Siliguri: BJP youth leaders severely injured in alleged attack by TMC cadres

Two BJP leaders were severely injured while others sustained injuries in alleged attacked by Trinamool Congress cadres at Bhakti Nagar area on Sunday morning.
BJP youth Siiliguri district vice President Dipankar alias Raju Pal and president of Ward 6, Pranay Choudhery were injured in the attack. Both were rushed to Siliguri district hospital but later shifted to a private nursing home at Sevoke Road.
BJP youth wing has organised a meeting on Sunday evening had booked a hotel a week back but when BJP leaders and some supporters reached the hotel to arrange for the same they were informed that the booking was cancelled. The hotel manager informed that meeting can’t be done as the booking has been cancelled.
BJP leaders alleged that they were attacked by “Trinamool Congress” cadres as soon as they reached the hotel to know the reason of cancellation of booking.
Party’s youth wing president Abhisekh Choudhery said, “TMC goons willingly cancelled the hot looking and attacked our leaders after seeing growth of our party in Siliguri and surrounding. Police action is also worthless as they are acting as cadres of the ruling party.
Meanwhile the TMC has denied the allegation slapped on their cadres and said that all allegations are baseless and false.
