Siliguri businessman murder accused surrenders in court

An accused in the Mahabirasthan murder case surrendered before the Sliliguri sub-divisional court.
The accused is Gourang Sarkar. The magistrate ordered the accused be kept in jail custody.
Earlier on Monday, Gopal Ghosh, a businessman from Mahabirsthan in Siliguri, was killed by miscreants. Another businessman was seriously injured in the same incident. The seriously injured businessman is under-going treatments at a private nursing home in Siliguri.
After the incident Giribala Ghosh, wife of Gopal Ghosh, filed a written report against 13 persons. Gourang Sarkar was named in the list. He had fled to an unknown destination after the incident, but on Wednesday, he surrendered before the court.
Siliguri Police Station personnel have started interrogations after taking him into custody. Police have begun a search to catch the others named in the written complaint. (EOIC)
