Sliguri gets first book cafe - Sangri-La Book Cafe

A new space has been carved out at 1st floor of Bhanubhakta Samiti building, Gurunbusti, for the book lovers of Siliguri – Sangri-La’ Book Café’. The café will run parallel with the book outlet where readers can get books in English, Nepali, Hindi and Bengali from various genres.
Book Café’ is the initiative of Sangri-La Books-India, a publication house that aims at inter-lingual publications in Nepali, Hiindi, Bengali and English languages.
The opening of both the publication house and book café was organized on august 26.
5 new books were also launched in the event.
Mani Sharma, the backbone of the publication house told, “We will come up with quality books for all ages of society. We want to serve the society by nurturing reading habit in such a challenging era of virtual consumerism.”
Manoj Bogati-publication head - told, “Sangri-La is a house to the conscious mass of our society. Let them utilize this space for enrichment of thinking activities. We will keep on organizing regular events.” (EOIC)
