Swastika group's second project in Siliguri
Venkatesh Regency, the new hospitality name in Siliguri, stands out from its predecessors by creating a bridge between modern living and Northeast culture.
Venkatesh is the second project of the Swastik group of hotels in Siliguri, established after seven years of the first project.
The unit was inaugurated by Susovan Banerjee and Prashun Chakraborty, founders of tourism monthly magazine Porjotan; Gitali Lahiri, coordinator of Himalayan Orange Tourism Festival, Kolkata; and Rural Tourism activist Raj Basu.
Aloke Pariyar, managing director of Swastik group of hotels, said, "It is an architectural tribute to the art, culture, craftsmanship and traditions of the North East of India. Each of our platinum rooms is dedicated to each of the eight sister states.
Raj Basu, who inaugurated the hotel, said, "This is an endeavour to create awareness among tourists visiting north Bengal about North East India.
