Three killed in separate accidents

Three people died while a dozen others were injured in three different road accidents since Friday night.
A tourist from Ondal of Burdwan, Dhananjay Dutta, 47,  died while six others were injured in a road accident at Birpara Chowpathy along Asain Highway today around 9 am.
The accident occurred when a truck and the four wheeler van collided. The tourists were on their way to Dooars for a pleasure trip.
Four of the injured were admitted to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. The other injured are being treated at local hospital in Birpara. The drivers of both the vehicle are absconding.
On Friday late evening a minor boy died in a road accident near Baikunthapur forest near Siliguri. Dipankar Shaha of Ghugumali had hired a bike and went for a ride towards Sevoke when he lost his control and dashed with a tree. He died on the spot.
In an another incident Bijay Chhetri of Jabra of Nepania Busty under Naxalbari block died in a bike accident near Kadma More under Panighatta police station.
According to Tapan Das, Officer-in-charge of Panighatta police station a speeding bike collided with Tata Sumo and Bijay died on the spot. Four passengers travelling in Tata Sumo sustained minor injuries.
