Honda Amaze to hit Indian roads soon

Honda Cars will soon introduce its second generation state-of-the-art Amaze in the Indian market. Rajesh Goel, senior vice president and director, marketing and sales at Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) said, “We are hopeful to launch our second generation of Amaze by the middle of the current month. The second edition of Amaze has been developed after doing a thorough research on the Indian road condition. The sedan will offer a high quality feeling and ambience of luxurious interior”. Mr Goel further said the second generation Amaze was developed vy Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co. Ltd which focuses on research and development for automobile across Asia and Oceania region.
He further said that India is an important and strategic market for the company. We are committed to develop the best vehicle in this segment to meet the needs of Indian consumers… so we conduct extensive market surveys on various aspects including driving behavior, needs and lifestyle. The car will be available with petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder unit, while the diesel version is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine. Honda has also offered CVT (automatic) transmissions with both petrol and diesel engine options – the latter being a first in the segment. (EOIC)
