Token of love: From the hills to the flooded coasts of Kerala

(L : R) A fund collection for the victims of the Kerela floods has been organized by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha town committee in Chowrasta in Darjeeling. The collection started from August 27. At Chowrasta local artists volunteer to sing everyday during the afternoons from 1 pm till 5 pm.

Residents of Sikkim are now sending relief to flood victims of Kerala on a regular basis. Youths of Rangpo have also come forward to collect relief and a collection centre has been set up at Rangpo Mandir Bazar. Centre co-ordinator Ravi Rai said the collected cash and materials would be deposited in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
